Oh the places you'll go
1. Define which techniques you tried and mastered? Struggled?
I didn't really struggle with this photo series, the only struggle would have to be getting a good angle of the locations, and making sure that the photos come out not blurry or too bright or too dark.
2. How did you draw inspiration from other artists techniques or aesthetics in your work? In what ways did you derive meaning or gain historical perspectives from their work? Why these artists?
I derived inspiration from this one photographer which I can't really remember his name but he is very known for his landscape series and it was something that I wanted to attempt with this photo series.
3. Describe the evolution of your piece. Decisions made. Compositional elements.
There wasn't much evolution when taking the pictures besides changing the lighting of the picture so it could have a contrast feel to it, when fixing it on photoshop it was kind of the same situation, I was changing the brightness and the contrast because I wanted to have the water and mountain be the center of attention.
4. If you could consider doing something over, explain why you would do this and what you would do next time?
If I could do something over again I would maybe change the electronic I used when taking the picture, I would try using a camera rather than an IPhone camera.
5. Elaborate on how this piece links with your other pieces? What is the common thread?
This piece links to my other pieces because traveling is something that I've always wanted to do, it's something that I consider a part of me. Additionally, the pictures happen to be pictures of locations within the United States and Mexico which again are locations I identify myself with.
